There’s no actual requirement that you bring everything about yourself to work, just the pressure from all quarters to do exactly that.
If companies are spending this much money and effort to keep unions out they must be a great idea for workers.

Even manufacturing jobs are just going to those with college degrees. That means more and more people will be shut out because they can’t afford those degrees.

It’s not just about the paycheck, it’s also about the fear that taking family leave may negatively impact their career opportunities.

That may be true, but I don’t see any acknowledgement of the pressure workers feel to work over 40 hours a week just to keep their jobs.
We’re all going to be impacted by AI, even those who feel they’re too special. Oh, and none of us are prepared for it.
