It makes sense for Spotify to purchase The Ringer given the shared emphasis on podcasts, but 1) what happens when the market turns and those shows aren’t as popular as they are now, and 2) we all remember that it’s bad when a market is dominated by a handful of companies who want all the content exclusive to themselves, right?
